More on The Hawaii Vacation Guide

The Hawaii Vacation Guide is a travel blog started in 2019 by husband and wife duo, Jordan and Erica. While in Hawaii, they noticed a lack of online information regarding the tours and activities available  in the area. With that in mind, The Hawaii Vacation Guide was created!

Their site features hundreds of experiences that travelers can book all across the state of Hawaii. In February 2020, they launched their YouTube channel which became a very popular component of their business.

5 of their game-changing tips

While they offer countless nuggets of information in their full interview, we’ve cherry-picked a few of the best.

1. Find your voice and authenticity

Transform your business into a beacon of expertise by showcasing quality, relevant content on your website, blog, and other channels. Show confidence through your unique voice to build more trust with your audience.

2. Be patient, but persistent

Remember, success does not happen overnight! Jordan and Erica say that, “you have to work really hard and know that you may not make any money for years. This blog was a side hustle for us for a very long time.”

3. Engage and collaborate with your audience

Your readers — aka your target audience — are your greatest asset. They mentioned that “sometimes people who read our newsletter will recommend activities, and that’s a great way to learn about new ones.”

4. Utilize tools for organization and efficiency

As your business grows, you and your employees can maintain peak efficiency by using top-tier business software. For example, Asana helps them seamlessly organize their business’s activities and offerings, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.

5. Learn from mistakes and don’t fear starting over

Perseverance is a very vital part of growing your business. They recall, “would we change anything? No, we had to make mistakes and make it messy at the beginning because that’s how you learn.”
